Data Privacy Week – January 24-28, 2023
Data Privacy week is just around the corner! All next week we will be exploring different aspects of data privacy from email phishing to password security.
Data Protection Day was created in 2006 to commemorate the signing of “The Convention for the Protection of Individuals with Regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data” treaty in 1981. Last year the holiday was expanded to a whole week of Data Privacy awareness.
It is important to keep data privacy in mind all year long, but this dedicated week can be a good reminder to make sure everything is in order. Use this week as an opportunity to change passwords and research and update privacy settings on social media, email, and any other site that may have access to your personal information.
At Copeland Buhl, we take data privacy very seriously. Our IS department is dedicated to working with businesses on security protocols, assessments, and certifications. Click here (https://www.copelandbuhl.com/service/cybersecurity/) to learn more about the services we provide.
