Interning at Copeland Buhl

Designed for accounting and finance majors who have completed Intermediate Accounting I, Copeland Buhl offers internships on two different tracks: accounting and tax or audit and assurance. We offer 10-14 intern positions during the spring (January through April) and up to four spots during the summer (June through August).

Setting you up for success begins with robust training. Right out of the gate, you’ll learn about the Copeland Buhl culture and processes. During in-person training sessions, you will work side-by-side with staff members at all levels, collaborating on real-world client work. You’ll also quickly start building connections with your fellow interns and professionals throughout the firm during partner meet-and-greets and other fun social events.

Mentorship to Advance with Confidence

Throughout your internship, your go-to resource for all questions, large and small, will be a dedicated mentor—in most cases, a staff or senior who started their own career in the Copeland Buhl intern program. Your mentor is there for you to offer daily guidance and formal weekly meetings to discuss goals and share feedback.

But here’s the thing: Everyone here is happy to help you out and easy to talk to. In fact, our past interns often tell us they’re astonished how many connections they’ve made in such a short time. Once you finish your accounting internship, you will have experience working on a variety of different client files. We believe that well-rounded experience will serve you well as you launch your accounting career—hopefully, right here at Copeland Buhl!

Spend a day with our experienced professionals, learn about opportunities in tax and audit, participate in engaging panel discussions and team-building activities, and sharpen your interview and resume skills.

One of the highlights of this action-packed day is the opportunity to test-drive what your day would look like as a Copeland Buhl intern. You sit in the driver’s seat to complete an example client file, while an experienced professional provides detailed, one-to-one guidance along the way.
